Pathologists Assistant jobs in New York, NY offer you the opportunity to work in a large teaching hospital with a high-volume pathology department, processing approximately 200 cases per day. You will select and identify tissue for microscopic examination, describe and dictate gross findings, determine proper fixative and decalcification procedures, and photograph specimens as needed. The facility uses Epic and Cerner Millennium electronic medical record systems and values teamwork and precision in a dynamic environment.
You must hold a New York Department of Health Pathologists’ Assistant License, have a minimum of 2 years of experience, and demonstrate the ability to gross specimens and biopsies. ASCP certification and the ability to provide frozen section coverage are preferred.
