Patient Care Tech

Performs the function of a Patient Care Technician in carrying out all assignments under the direction of an RN in the Inpatient Units and Emergency Department. Is accountable for all patient care he/she gives in the unit assigned/scheduled. Is responsible for adhering to all standards of Nursing Practice and for promoting teamwork among colleagues through collaboration and respect.

Position Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school graduate
• Preferred Education:
  • Completion of nursing assistant certification training and competency exams as approved by the State Board of Health.
  • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals Course, EMT Course, or Medical Assistant Course.
• Minimum Experience:
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Effective customer service
  • Computer keyboard skills
• Preferred Experience: One year of healthcare experience preferred
• Certifications Required: Healthcare ProviderCPR certification
• Certifications Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Certification
