PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN
- DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- A technician who assists the Emergency Department staff in carrying out a variety of patient care, clerical and procedural tasks for the patients presenting in the department.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional/Educational
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 17 years of age.
- Currently Certified by IDPH as a CNA, currently licensed as an EMT/Paramedic, or equivalent experience required.
- Certified by the American Heart Association in CPR required.
- DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
- Personal
- Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.
- Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
- Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
- Professional/Educational
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
