Pediatric Intensivist
Job Description
Nemours Children's Health is seeking Pediatric Intensivists to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida.
Successful candidates will provide comprehensive care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary team environment that includes pediatric physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, pharmacists and nutritionists.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct care for critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of life-threatening conditions
- Perform invasive procedures such as central line placement, intubation, chest tube insertion, and other critical care interventions
- Collaborate with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in family-centered care, offering clear communication and emotional support to patients and families
- Comply with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety practices

Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board eligible/certified in area of specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
