PET/CT TECHNOLOGIST

Under general direction, performs clinical PET/CT examinations and assists in the development of new PET/CT procedures. Examinations require assessing metabolic information, applying attenuation correction, injecting different high energy radiopharmaceuticals, and troubleshooting equipment in a time-critical environment. Examinations include low dose computed tomography (LDCT) studies, with and without oral contrast; With appropriate credentials, diagnostic CT studies with and without IV contrast may be done in conjunction with PET exams, as requested by physicians.

Qualifications:
Primary certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) OR registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine. Must also possess or be eligible for secondary certification in Computed Tomography by ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) within six months of hire. One year of experience in PET/CT. Minimum two years of experience in Nuclear Medicine or Equivalent education/experience. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of New York with CT registry by the ARRT or NMTCB per NYS Department of Health

Salary: $42.24 - $62.84 doe, shift differentials if applicable
