labor pool (as needed) Pharmacist
Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy. May be designated by the Director of Pharmacy or designee as being in charge. Supervises and performs packaging and dispensing of pharmaceuticals according to prescription physician order or floor stock request. Monitors patient profiles to assure appropriate dosage and therapy. Provides current drug information. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group of the patients served. Possesses the skills and ability to assess data reflective of patient status and to interpret this information and identify the patients needs in relation to age specific requirements and to provide care as described in accordance with state and federal law and regulation and facility policy and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Riverside Behavioral Health Center offers the most comprehensive range of behavioral health programs on the Virginia Peninsula. An established mental health care provider in Hampton Roads since 1983, Riverside Behavioral Health Center provides psychiatric and chemical dependency services to children, adolescents and adults on an outpatient and inpatient basis. We offer a variety of services such as Inpatient Adult Services, Inpatient Child and Adolescent Services, Adolescent Residential Services and Outpatient Services, to individuals who experience emotional, psychological and behavioral problems. Individual, family and group therapy, recreation therapy, art therapy, life skills groups, and medication management are key components of the programs we provide.
Graduate of school of pharmacy. If a foreign graduate of pharmacy, has completed all requirements for equivalency as outlined by the National Association of Board of Pharmacy (NABP)Program of Study: Pharmacy
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Must be able-read, comprehend and interpret data.
Licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a pharmacist. Current BLS is preferred.
