As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. The Pharmacy Tech Specialist - Narcotics performs an array of duties including:
Review missing drug alerts in our diversion software
Investigate drug diversion issues and follow up with nursing, anesthesia and pharmacy personnel accordingly
Review and investigate discrepancy alerts
Train pharmacy staff
Complete inventory of the C2 safe
Destroy expired drugs
This is a full time (80 hours per two week pay period) benefited position with 8-hour day shifts starting between 7am and 8am, Monday through Friday. Includes $2,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance to eligible new hires.

Internal candidates
Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago
In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
Must remain in original department/specialty
Must remain in original Job Title
Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
Experience/Specialized Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification/Registration:
Current Pharmacy Technician License.
Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
5 years inpatient experience preferred
