Pharmacy Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Duration: 4+ months

Location: Henrico, VA 23228

Shift: Mon - Fri 8:15 am – 5pm (40 hours/week)

Job Description:

• Assist with processing naloxone orders, returns, invoices, and updating spreadsheets.
• Process, fill, package, and ship vaccine and bulk medication orders.
• Assist pharmacists with filling prescriptions and transcribe prescription information accurately into the pharmacy database.
• Conduct and maintain pharmacy inventory, including barcode scanning and preparing medication prepacks.
• Prepare and package orders for shipment via courier.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of medications and pharmacy supplies.
• Perform administrative duties, including answering and directing incoming calls, handling faxes, copying and scanning documents, and monitoring pharmacy email.
• Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint, to complete daily tasks.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, and local health department personnel.
• Multitask efficiently while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
• Work independently with minimal supervision, meet deadlines, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience working in a pharmacy with inventory management and data management.
• Strong teamwork, initiative and positive attitude.
