- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- A Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists in various aspects of medication acquisition, preparation, distribution, and billing.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy
- Six months experience as a pharmacy technician or successful completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program 4.
- Must obtain PTCB certification within the first six months of employment. PTCB certification must be kept current during your employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer skills including keyboard data entry and Windows-based software navigation
- Basic office equipment skills including use of calculator, telephone, printer, & fax machine
