As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. The Pharmacy Technician II performs an array of duties including:
Responsibility for performing basic pharmacy technician duties.
Worksing under the supervision of registered pharmacists.
May assist with mentoring pharmacy technician I as assigned.
Performing more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing and/or IV Clean Room responsibilities based on site specific needs.
May assist pharmacy management with administrative support duties
This is a Full Time (80 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 10 hour day shifts on various days. Located at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo. May float based on staffing needs. Includes $2,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance to eligible new hires.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:
Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
Must remain in original department/specialty
Must remain in original Job Title
Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
High school diploma or equivalent.
California Board of Pharmacy Certification.
Certification by National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience or a combination of inpatient experience and sterile compounding experience.
Five years hospital inpatient pharmacy technician experience preferred.
