Essential Key Job Responsibilities
phlebotomy procedures, both venipuncture and capillary. Instructs on proper
collection of other body fluids.
perform waived testing on blood and body fluids and questions unexpected or
abnormal results and advises supervisor or technician/technologist.
medical necessity is verified and completes and Advanced Beneficiary Notice
(ABN) if the test is not covered by Medicare.
supplies and notifies supervisor or responsible technologist if supplies need
to be ordered.
and skilled in using Electronic Health Record.
work accurately with a minimum of non-clerical and clerical errors such as
misidentification, incomplete reports or incorrect reports.
that the date, time and initials are recorded or captured on all work
job description and is able to competently perform required tasks.
work area neat and clean.
work time efficiently and completes tasks within a reasonable amount of time,
even when workload is heavy.
spare time for work related activities.
heavy workload effectively and pleasantly.
and assist with clerical and secretarial duties.
