The Physical Therapist Assistant assists a Physical Therapist in a skilled care facility environment with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, nursing home patient evaluation and testing. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provides direct Physical therapy services according to directions of the Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician's plan of care.Adheres to all applicable federal, state, local, and facility maintained standards of care and ethics and policies concerned with the practice of Physical Therapy and among other things, personnel qualifications. Performs a variety of tasks.
Requires a minimum education level of an associate's degree from an accredited program. License or Permit
Certification by Arizona State Office of the Professions and practices Physical Therapy according to the state
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Must be able to safely lift/carry 50-100lbs
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patient, resident and staff.
