Physical Therapy Assistant
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Implements treatment plans developed and supervised by a Licensed Physical Therapist in an attempt to prevent disability following disease/injury, while helping the patient reach his/her maximum performance. Provides input regarding patient's response to treatment and progress. Performs in accordance with standards of Physical Therapy practice that are ethical and legal in North Carolina.
- EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Required:
- Associate Degree from an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants.
- Current North Carolina license or license eligible.
- BCLS Certification; recertification required annually.
- May require valid NC Driver's license and access to use of an automobile.
