Physician Assistant-Surgery-Full Time (days)
Provides pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care, under the direction and supervision of the attending surgeon and in accordance with the objectives, policies and procedures of the hospital and the state Physician Assistant Act.
Responds to and participates in the evaluation and resuscitation of trauma patients.
Will act as the neurosurgical liaison by evaluating and informing the on call neurosurgeon of new and established patients.
Observe and care for the service patients in the surgical intensive care unit, inform critical care intensivist of patient condition, and participate in daily rounds.
Participates in student and patient education.
Graduate of an AMA accredited physician assistant program and licensed by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.
May begin entry level without experience.
Successful of all required orientation programs.
Required to have obtained BLS and ACLS certifications, must obtain ATLS within the first year of employment.
Must be available to work any shift that is assigned including nights holidays and weekends.
