This position will assist in the completion of referrals, consults and daily patient rounds. In addition, this position will assist in staffing the outpatient practice when needed. Provides pre- and post-procedure care. Functions as an educator for PA/NP/DO students from healthcare education programs. Works closely with Hospitalist program, ED physicians, Critical Care and nursing units. Position to maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed.
