Job Description:
Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity with Acclaim at JPSAcclaim Health, in partnership with John Peter Smith Hospital, is recruiting a PRN Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our program. Located in Fort Worth, Texas, JPS Health is the safety net hospital for Tarrant County, evaluating over 127,000 emergency department patients, 60,000 urgent care patients, and a Level I trauma center. JPS is also an urban teaching hospital with a long history of training physicians and medical students, offering 18 residency and fellowship programs.
Job Details:Surgeon joining will be one of 2 full-time surgeons responsible for coverage at the JPS Main Hospital
Working 1 week/month
Perform adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, including coronary bypass, complex valvular surgery, aortic surgery, TAVR, ECMO, and robotic thoracic surgery
Dedicated cardiac surgery OR team, fellowship-trained/board certified cardiothoracic anesthesia, and full-time PA coverage
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Residency and/or Fellowship training within Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
• Board Certification or Board Eligible.
