Make a Meaningful Impact
Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a compassionate, experienced Physician (PRN) to support our hospice and palliative care programs. In this role, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Provide physician services across hospice and palliative care settings (inpatient, outpatient, and home/facility visits)
- Collaborate with attending physicians and care teams on goals of care, pain management, and symptom control
- Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and contribute to care planning
- Review patient referrals to assess diagnosis, prognosis, and eligibility
- Support admissions, discharges, and transitions between palliative and hospice care
- Serve as a clinical resource and liaison to physicians, hospitals, and community partners
- Participate in on-call rotation (evenings/weekends) and provide after-hours support as needed
- Step in for Medical Director responsibilities when designated
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience (hospice, palliative care, internal medicine, family medicine, oncology, or related field)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Hospice & Palliative Medicine)
- Active Colorado Physician License
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability to travel locally
Compensation & Perks
- Competitive hourly rate: $107.00 - $121.00/hour
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.625/mile (one of the highest in the industry)
