Physician Recruiter

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision from the Human Resources Director, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for talent acquisition activities as it relates to recruiting and attracting medical, dental and behavioral health providers in addition to clinical leadership roles. The Physician Recruiter works with the Human Resources team tasked with recruiting activities as well as with department directors to ensure adequate candidate flow and activities are maintained. In addition to recruiting activities, the Physician Recruiter is responsible for utilizing various talent attraction and total compensation programs to attract and hire providers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The list that follows is not intended as a comprehensive list, but rather to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) will be required to perform a variety of duties listed, including but not limited to:

  1. Utilize various sourcing techniques such as job boards, social media, professional networks, publications, and industry events to identify potential provider candidates. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects to meet ongoing recruitment needs.
  2. Screen, assess, and evaluate provider candidates based on their qualifications, experience, credentials and compatibility with the organization's values and culture. Conduct initial interviews to assess their suitability for the position.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective candidates, building rapport and trust to effectively communicate the benefits of joining the agency and teams.
  4. Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to develop competitive compensation packages and benefits. Handle negotiations with candidates and ensure the successful closure of offers by leveraging NVIH competitive benefit package and workplace culture.
  5. Develop and implement creative recruitment marketing strategies to attract and engage prospective providers. Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling job advertisements and promote the organization's brand as an employer of choice.
  6. Develop relationships with educational institutions to attract talent and educate potential applicants on unique benefits available at NVIH.
  7. Ensure documentation and data on recruiting activities and candidate interactions are properly documented in the applicant tracking system for effective communication and metric reporting.
  8. Adapt to industry trends and competitor talent acquisition practices and adjust practices to ensure NVIH remains relevant and competitive.
  9. Continuously improve business acumen with NVIH operations and services offered by collaborating with hiring managers and department directors on a regular basis to target specific niche details with candidates.
  10. Work as a team within the Human Resources department with all other team members responsible for onboarding and orienting new providers to ensure a smooth transition from recruiting activities to onboarding activities.
  11. Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required for an employee to successfully perform their duties.

  1. Bachelors degree required, preferably in Human Resources.
  2. Experience in successfully recruiting healthcare-related positions; experience in recruiting Physician and Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health providers preferred.
  3. Knowledge of the healthcare industry, medical specialties, clinical education and licensing requirements.
  4. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills through various means.
  6. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
  7. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm as an innovative team player.
  8. Proficient with recruitment tools, sourcing techniques and applicant tracking systems.
  9. Display critical thinking and sound judgement with complex, dynamic situations and environments.
  10. Reliable Transportation and ability to adhere to regular attendance and travel to off-site events as needed.
