Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $150,000 - $230,000

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Chief of Medical Staff and the President/CEO will have ultimate responsibility for all medical aspects of the Clinic operations.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Must be currently licensed to practice medicine in the State of Connecticut. Specialty training and certification in internal medicine or psychiatry is desirable but not essential. Also desirable is some background, association or experience with problems of addiction and/or community medicine; a sensitivity to, and understanding of, the general lifestyle, emotional and behavioral patterns often associated with narcotics addiction. Adult CPR/AED or BLS certification must be obtained.

Position Responsibilities and Expectations
• The Staff Physician will have the ultimate responsibility for the medical aspects of the Clinic. He/she will also provide the initial and annual medical examination and on-going medical evaluation and treatment. This responsibility will be met by the physician either through services rendered directly or through appropriate referral as specified in the contract and the Program's Procedure Manual.
• The Staff Physician will work closely with the Clinic Supervisor and counselors in assessing overall progress of patients, participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings, and encourage the joint effort of all staff for maximum effectiveness of the Clinic and achievement of Program goals.
