Provider Quality & Credentialing Coordinator
Lake Regional Health System is seeking a Medical Staff Quality & Credentialing Coordinator.
Principal Accountabilities and Essential Duties of the Job
Provider Performance Monitoring
- Manage and track Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) for new privileges and new providers.
- Coordinate Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) monitoring in collaboration with department chairs.
- Track procedure and case completion requirements during FPPE periods.
- Prepare case summaries and supporting documentation for FPPE, OPPE, and peer review.
- Coordinate proctoring activities when required.
- Collaborate with Quality Department staff to support provider performance monitoring.
Credentialing & Privileging Integration
- Ensure FPPE and OPPE results are incorporated into reappointment reviews.
- Support credentialing staff by aligning performance monitoring with privileging requirements.
- Assist with privilege review when performance monitoring indicates additional evaluation is necessary.
Data & Performance Tracking
- Maintain an organized and systematic database of provider performance information.
- Track case volumes, performance indicators, and evaluation metrics.
- Generate reports and summaries used across departments and leadership teams.
Department Chair & Peer Review Coordination
- Prepare performance summaries for Department Chair review.
- Coordinate communication with department leaders regarding FPPE/OPPE outcomes.
- Maintain documentation related to peer-review and performance evaluation activities.
Medical Staff Office Operations
- Provide administrative support for medical staff committees and meetings.
- Assist with agenda preparation, meeting materials, and committee documentation.
- Monitor provider expirables and credentialing timelines.
- Maintain communication with providers regarding medical staff processes.
- Support documentation and operational workflows within the Medical Staff Office.
Special Projects
- Conduct focused chart reviews for credentialing, peer review, and quality initiatives.
- Participate in special performance review projects or audits as requested.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to remain current with FPPE/OPPE best practices.
Perform other duties as required.
Associate or Bachelor's degree required - RN, LPN, RT, CMA background preferred.
An annual influenza vaccination is required.
