Job Summary
We are seeking a Physician Assistant to help with the clinical mission of the Treatment Resistant Mood Disorder clinic. This provider will work closely with the psychiatrists providing care in the clinic. This position will entail a number of clinical and administrative functions, with a focus on building quality care for patients served in the TRMDC. This will be a M-F position with no weekend work expectations or call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:Oversight of TMS Service Line:
- -On site availability to support techs regarding patient care issues that arise during TMS care through the clinic day.
Clinical visits:
- Help support the provision of clinic follow up appointments for patients receiving procedural care through the clinic. These visits are a combination of History/Physical visits, mid-treatment evaluations, and end of treatment evaluations.
- Work directly with the Neuromodulation provider (attending psychiatrist) assigned to each patient.
- Attendance at team meetings and clinical rounds (weekly)
Indirect Clinical Support:
- Help with communication requests from staff and patients regarding care through patient calls, EPIC in basket messages, emails, etc.
- Liaison with IP psychiatry teams regarding co-managed patients.
Administrative Support:
- Help support the administrative needs of the clinic including support for care coordination team in reviewing FMLA/Work Release/etc. paperwork
- Help with registration and management of patients in the REMS system for Esketamine
- Support for utilization review requests where appropriate.
- Triage/screening of new clinic consultation referrals. Prior treatment history collection.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant from the State of Utah.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Preferred:
- Certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS may be required by your department or by privileging criteria.
