Psychologist

Position Summary:

Auburn Memorial Medical Services, PC is seeking a compassionate, clinically skilled, and patient-focused Psychologist to join our outpatient behavioral health team. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients experiencing a variety of mental health, behavioral, emotional, and adjustment-related concerns in a collaborative outpatient practice setting.

The Psychologist will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and treat patients with a range of psychological and behavioral health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and an interest in developing long-term therapeutic relationships with patients while helping improve their emotional well-being, functioning, quality of life, and overall health outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct psychological assessments, clinical interviews, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide evidence-based individual psychotherapy and, when appropriate, couples, family, or group therapy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, clinical findings, and treatment goals.
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health, behavioral, emotional, and adjustment-related conditions within the Psychologist's scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
• Provide education and counseling regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and behavioral health.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Make referrals to psychiatry, behavioral health services, or other specialists when clinically appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and follow-up recommendations in the EMR.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable professional, ethical, legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Psychologist in New York State, or eligibility for New York State licensure.
• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Completion of appropriate supervised clinical training and experience required for licensure.
• Prior experience in outpatient behavioral health, clinical psychology, integrated behavioral health, pain management, primary care, rehabilitation, or a related clinical setting preferred.
• Experience providing psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy.
• Experience working with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic pain, adjustment difficulties, stress-related conditions, or other behavioral health concerns preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary based on experience
• $150,000.00 - 160,000.00 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
