The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)/Rehab Aide is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization's mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The PTA/Rehab Aide is responsible for assisting the outpatient department by performing clerical and housekeeping duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist and/or Speech Language Pathologist. The PTA/Rehab Aide also performs the duties of a licensed PTA as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist with competence in skills and professionalism treating a variety of ages including pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric clients. The PTA/Rehab Aide actively participates in the growth and development of their Department/Clinic, including quality management.
Qualifications
- Meets qualifications for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
- The PTA/Rehab Aide is a PTA and must be licensed in their state of hire and eligible for licensure in alternate state (licensed to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
- Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
- The PTA/Rehab Aide is required to work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by a Senior OP Director.
