Harris Regional Hospital Responsible for the design, implementation, and coordination of the systems for collection, analysis, and reporting of data to support clinical quality and performance improvement programs and objectives. Essential Functions: Trends data and solves problems independently utilizing departmental Quality policies and procedures. Cardiac data administrator, oversees data abstraction and data utilization as it relates to the Chest Pain Center Educates, trains, and monitors Staff regarding performance metrics and collection of performance data. Assists in implementation of the Board adopted Quality and Performance Improvement Plan. Assists in identifying systems related issues and works collaboratively with the Patient Safety Officer to resolve issues. Presents data effectively to Nurse Leadership, Administration, and Department Directors. Job Requirements: Licensure: RN license in state of NC or compact state Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years healthcare experience with a working knowledge of data management, data analysis, and performance improvement methodologies and tools. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Project management and performance improvement skills. Knowledge of accreditation standards, health care regulations, performance improvement, patient safety and policy formation.
