QUALITY DATA AND SYSTEMS ANALYST

- Position summary:
- The Quality Data and Systems Analyst supports the hospital by administering the quality management platform (symplr Midas+) and by extracting, integrating, and analyzing data from the Oracle Health EMR and related sources to meet clinical quality, patient safety, regulatory, and medical staff needs. The analyst builds and maintains Midas+ modules, indicators, and coordinates interfaces (ADT, DAB, Surgery), develops queries and reports against Oracle data to answer quality questions, ensures data integrity across systems, and trains and supports end users. Data produced supports submissions to CMS, payers, and state licensing agencies, accreditation bodies, and corporate decision-making, and drives accurate, timely medical staff profiles used in recredentialing.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. An Associate degree with equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
- Required length and type of experience:
- Two to three years of experience in a healthcare data analyst, systems analyst, or related role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Working proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases, or demonstrated aptitude and commitment to achieving proficiency within a defined onboarding period.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
- Experience with symplr Midas+ or a comparable quality and risk management platform, including administration and system build; training will be provided as needed.
- Experience with Oracle Health (Millennium) data, including Cerner Command Language (CCL), Discern reporting, or extraction from the enterprise data warehouse preferred. The role includes learning the Cerner/Oracle Health environment, with training provided.
- Experience with BI and data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, preferred; training will be provided as needed.
- Familiarity with healthcare data structures and standards, including HL7/ADT interfaces, ICD-10, CPT, and MS-DRG, as well as CMS quality programs (IQR, VBP, HAC Reduction, and Readmissions) and core and eCQM measures preferred; training will be provided as needed.
