MEDICAL STAFF QUALITY COORDINATOR

  • Job Summary:

    Facilitates the coordination of medical staff data analysis and performance improvement activities. Including ongoing data collection, interpretation, measurement, assessment, and benchmarking. Maintains current medical staff profiles and protected quality files for Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE). Supports department leadership in determining criteria for conducting OPPE and FPPE, triggers for conducting reviews, identifying clinical indicators, and validating data accuracy. Manages the Medical Staff Office Quality Program activities.

    Education:

    Bachelor of Science Degrees in Nursing or other healthcare related degree preferred.

    Registration/Certification/Licensure:

    None

    Experience:

  • Minimum of five years' clinical healthcare experience required.
      • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Experience in Quality Improvement techniques.
      • Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong prioritization skills is essential
      • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
      • Able to demonstrate proficiency with PC (esp. Microsoft office products) and various data management and reporting systems.
      • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills (both verbal and written) is critical.
