Radiographer II

Job Summary

Performs a variety of x-ray procedures to include diagnostic, fluoro, OR/C-Arm. Additional duties may include EKG, phlebotomy, obtaining vital signs and other tasks as needed. Rotating call. Assists with room set up and keeps the patient care areas well stocked. The Radiologic Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.

Safely operates a variety of mobile and stationary x-ray units to produce high quality images under the supervision of a Radiologist and in accordance with ALARA principles.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
    • Graduate from an approved School of Radiologic Technologist

Experience:

  • Preferred
    • One year of experience in Clinical Radiology

Certification/Licensure:

Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date
  • Current, Calid Texas Driver's License
  • Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT)- Temporary General Certificate from the State of Texas OR Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General Certificate from the State of Texas
    • Must obtain permanent MRT licensure prior to temporary certificate expiration date
  • The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Certification in Radiography R.T.(R)
