Duration: 12 Months ( Possibility of Extension)

Job Summary:

• The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing professional nutrition and dietetic services within a state healthcare facility. 
• This role involves planning therapeutic diets, administering medical nutrition therapy, assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition care plans, and serving as a consultant to physicians and nursing staff.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' nutritional status using medical records, laboratory data, dietary history, anthropometric measurements, and clinical documentation.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy to prevent and treat disease and health conditions.
• Plan therapeutic diets and facility menus.
• Counsel patients regarding nutritional needs and dietary modifications.
• Calculate nutritional requirements including:  Daily caloric intake ,Protein requirements Fluid needs ,Vitamin and mineral intake
• Review and evaluate menus to ensure therapeutic dietary requirements are met.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Serve as a nutrition consultant to medical and nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, facility policies, and professional standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Home Economics (Food), or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of professional dietetics experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian.

Required License:

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) Certification – Required
• Must be licensed/registered as a Registered Dietitian.
