Sodexo is seeking a Full-time outpatient Registered Dietitian for The Queen's Medical Center Punchbowl; with 575 licensed beds and West Oahu Hawaii; an 104-bed community hospital located approximately 25 miles west of Honolulu. The majority of the work will be with people with Diabetes but also with other diagnoses such as Renal, cardiac, GI.
The Queen's Diabetes and Education Center is located on the campus of the Queen's Medical Center Punchbowl on the island of Oahu and is part of the Queen's Health System.
This is in an outpatient clinic next to The Queen's Medical Center on the island of Oahu. The Center specializes in Diabetes with a team approach with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Nurse Diabetes Educator, a Nurse Practitioner, and office support staff.
The Center has been a recognized program of the American Diabetes Association since 2004.
Reporting to Clinical Nutrition Manager, the selected candidate will:
- Be a registered dietitian with 3 years of experience with outpatient education in various settings such as classes, 1:1 in person and telehealth; a CDCES is is preferred but not required;
- be licensed in the State of Hawaii, or willing to be licensed, and an RDN;
- provide MNT 1:1 and DSME in class setting,telehealth is provided when necessary;
- conduct nutrition counseling for other chronic conditions;
- also participate in community events and speaking events including; community fairs, speaking and media events with the education center as needed.

Responsible for providing direct comprehensive nutrition services including those for complex needs. Key Duties-Directs nutrition care of special needs population to ensure nutrition needs and customer satisfaction levels are met. -Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy. -Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexo resource when necessary. -Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., -HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice. -Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments. .
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
