Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Description

Shift: [5x8s days; rotating weekends/holidays]

Pay rate – $60-65 per hour

Duration: 3+ months

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, observe, and communicate with patients regarding their health conditions
• Record detailed patient medical histories and current symptoms
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor patients for side effects and reactions
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team
• Perform wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds
• Assist in medical procedures as required
• Operate and monitor medical equipment
• Collect samples (blood, urine, and other body fluids) for laboratory testing
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and ongoing care
• Supervise licensed practical nurses (LPNs), vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and students

Required Documents:

• Active RN Licence (NC Licence mandatory)
• BLS Certification
• COVID-19 Vaccination Card
• Valid Driver’s licence
• Two professional references (from past managers within the last 2 years)
• Signed Criminal Background Consent Form
• One year of Mental/Behavioural Health Experience is must
