Registered Nurse - Infusion / Oncology

BASIC FUNCTION: Evaluates oncology patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care at Grand River Hospital District (GRHD). Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Provides supportive care and administration of chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements and other oncology treatments as prescribed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understands port access and care.
  • Administers various infusion treatments including PICC line, intermuscular shots, and bio-therapy medication
  • Assists with wound care and a variety of outpatient procedures. care, treatment, counseling, and health education to patients.
  • Assists in the maintenance of health and the prevention or management of illness, injury and disability.
  • Responds to correspondence professionally in a variety of formats.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado required.
  • Valid Chemo and PICC Line certification required.
  • Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in a similar role.


SALARY INFORMATION:

  • $30.50 - 46.38 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
  • Bonus (If Eligible)
  • Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
