Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - School

*The Stepping Stones Group* is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse* (LPN)* for a contracted, school-based placement in *Stone Mountain, GA* for the *26/27 school year*! This is a *full-time* position supporting a local K-12 district with *private duty/1:1 *nursing services.

*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

* Active LPNN license valid in Georgia
* Current BLS CPR/AED certification
* Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
* Trach/vent management
* Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
* Oxygen and airway management
* Medication administration
* Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

* Ability to work independently in a non-clinical environment
* Experience working with Pediatric population
*ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS*

* Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
* Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, therapists, and healthcare providers
* Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
* Prior school-based experience highly preferred
*WHAT YOU'LL DO*

* Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
* Implement and monitor student health plans
* Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned
* Communicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadership
* Provide first aid, daily medical care, and emergency support
* Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPAA requirements
