Remote CDS

Pay Rate: $45.00 - $60.00
POSITION: Remote CDS
DEPARTMENT: HIM
START: ASAP, 6 month duration with extension (On-Going)
END: 6/30/2025
LOCATION: REMOTE
JOB DESCRIPTION: The CDI program was established in 2014 and consist of 3 IP CDI and one Lead CDI. They are expanding the program.
- The remote CDS will be responsible to review concurrent medical record for compliance including completeness and accuracy for SOW, ROM and quality using compliant documentation management program (CDMP) documentation strategies.
- Completes accurate and timely record review to ensure the integrity of documentation compliance.
- Completes accurate and concise input of data into CDI Software resulting in accurate metrics obtained through the reconciliation process.
- Understands and supports CDI documentation strategies.
- Recognizes opportunities for documentation improvement using strong critical-thinking skills.
- Uses critical thinking and sound judgment in decision making keeping quality considerations in balance with regulatory compliance.
- Transcribes documentation clarifications as appropriate SOI, ROM, PSI, HCCs and HACs to ensure documentation compliance is accomplished.
- Identification of any Query opportunities and query on HACs and PSIs.
- Must have mortality review experience.
- Having 3M, CDR2 experience is a plus.
- Must have a RN and extensive knowledge in ICD 10-PCS/CM coding principles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a RN; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer BSN, CCDS, CDIP, or CCS• Three (3) years recent IP CDI experience, including ICD-10-PCS experience. • Proficient 3M and having exposure to Claro's CDR2 for documentation experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five (5) years RECENT IP CDI experience. • Proven record to hit or exceed client productivity expectations• Five (5) years acute care nursing experience with specific medical/surgical, Intensive Care, post-acute care unit, or Emergency Department experience.
Working Hours Needed:
• M – F 8hrs per day, 40hrs a week
• Flexible hours, once gotten through initial audit
