POSITION SUMMARY:  The Coder II is a senior Level Professional Fee Coder with at least (3) or more years' experience in multiple specialties; coding both Inpatient and Outpatient professional fee services with a focus on Neurosurgery encounters. Strong Profee E/M and Diagnosis coding experience his highly preferred. Coder II staff key duties include reviewing documentation to assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 diagnosis codes, resolve edits in WQs (charge review, claim edit, and follow up), and review denials for possible corrected claims or appeals. Coder II will work with clinic supervisors and/or providers to resolve coding issues and questions, following applicable payer rules and guidelines.  This individual also work with members of the Revenue Management Team to address coding issues and concerns. 3yrs coding experience in general surgery is highly preferred. E/M credentialing is highly preferred! 
Candidates who have the Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder (COSC) is highly preferred. Neurosurgery/brain and spine coding experience is highly preferred. 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a High School Diploma; or GED required, Associate Degree preferred.
• Three (3) years recent Professional Fee Neurosurgery Coding and abstracting experience.
• Experience with EPIC, Encoder Pro would be preferred .
• CCS-P, COC, CPC Credentials required by client.
• Additional coding certifications preferred (specialty credential(s)/CPMA).• Must be technically savvy and have some remote experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5yrs Professional Fee Neurosurgery Coding experience.• Profee E/M Credential CPMA is highly preferred. • Certified Orthopedic Surgery Coder (COSC) credential is highly preferred. 

Working Hours Needed:
• M – F 8hrs per day, 40hrs a week, hours 6a-6p in whatever time zone they live in
• Flexible hours during training and prebill review process

Compensation & Benefits:
• Pay Range: TBD very competitive, based on experience.

Facility Location
An amphitheater close to the Civic Center in Englewood is the focal point for visitors of this Rocky Mountain town where many summer concerts take place. Englewood is also famous for the “Broken Tree” golf facility with its award winning golf course complete with an 18 hole championship course. Kids love “Pirates Cove” which is open in the summer and includes a play structure, a six lane pool and 35 foot slide facility which includes three different types of slides.
