Position Highlights
The Research Associate II will support cutting-edge translational cancer research within the Hwu Lab. This role is responsible for performing laboratory-based research and contributing to ongoing preclinical and immuno-oncology studies.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience with mouse models and in vivo tumor studies.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique, cell culture, and primary cell line maintenance.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with general laboratory techniques and experimental protocols.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Commitment to team science, integrity, and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in vivo mouse studies, including tumor measurements, injections, and colony management.
- Collect, organize, and maintain accurate research data (electronic and physical formats).
- Conduct data analysis using established protocols with minimal supervision.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and documentation.
- Support ongoing research projects and contribute to experimental design execution.
Credentials and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on research experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
