Position Summary

• The 5 South Progressive Stepdown/Observation Registered Nurse (RN) provides quality nursing care through the application of the nursing process using evidence based practice focusing on excellent outcomes and patient experience within the framework of Shared Governance.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Required:
  • All hires are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or be currently enrolled in a BSN program.

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):

• • Required:
    • None
  • Preferred:
    • One year of acute care nursing experience.

License, Registry or Certification:

• Required:
  • Current NJ RN licensure, American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
• Preferred:
  • PCCN or related specialty certification.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:

• Required:
  • Complete Critical Care, Vents and stroke training within one year of hire. Basic arrhythmia Interpretation completed within 6 months of hire.
