JOB RELATIONSHIPS

• Supervises RNs, LPNs, NAs, UCs and other Patient Care Services Employees; responsible to the Clinical Director.

DEFINITION OF POSITION

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of assigned patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Professional

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Current NRP or obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• ACLS if applicable
• Professional certification preferred.

B. Personal

• Maintains good physical and emotional well-being.
• Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
• Evidence of knowledge and ability to use proper channels of communication
• Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.
