RN Staff
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care to a moderately to critically ill population requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, high-quality patient care in the intermediate care setting
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and respiratory needs
- Administer medications and manage therapies per physician orders
- Exhibit critical thinking and decision-making skills. Assess patient needs, anticipate complications, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Engage patients and their families in care planning. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3, allowing for personalized attention. We involve patients and their families in every step of the journey.
- Care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP/CPAP, select IV drips to include titrations.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety and quality standards. Maintain thorough and organized records. Details matter, especially in intermediate care.
- Be compassionate. You will be more than a caregiver; you will be a lifeline. Your empathy and emotional support during difficult moments make a difference.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License: Valid and current RN license
- Prefer 1-year acute care experience. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Certifications: ACLS is required but can be obtained through our Training and Development Center.
