Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Position Summary: Box Butte General Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care Center. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, oversee intake and discharge processes, and may serve as a Case Manager for a designated group of patients. Your expertise will guide patient assessments, wound evaluations, and the development of individualized care plans.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes, engage in quality improvement initiatives, and advocate for your patients' needs. If you have completed Healogics hyperbaric training, you'll also perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document findings accurately.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care and treatment plans.
• Provide patient education and support for patients and their families.
• Coordinate care with healthcare teams, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Utilize clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain proficiency in equipment operation and follow established protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to quality standards.

Education & Qualifications:

• Required: Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
• Licensure/Certifications:
  • Current Nebraska RN license (or license from a participating Compact State).
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers.
