Scribe - Onsite
- POSITION SUMMARY
- This position works to maintain patient flow as well as complete medical documentation for patients.
- RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Scribe for assigned provider
- Creates and maintains patient consultation and exam documentation, including review of patient's medical history as well as current patient/physician interaction.
- Lists all diagnoses, symptoms, and prescriptions.
- Acts as an intermediary for the physicians and other staff members in regards to orders, follow-up, etc.
- Manages patient flow.
- Works within the EMR system to create office notes and enter physician orders (lab tests, radiology tests, prescriptions, etc.).
- Template development in EMR system.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Knows and complies with policies and procedures as enumerated in the Orthopedic One Employee Handbook and policies and procedures documents.
- Provides assistance and support to leadership in implementing policies and procedures as necessary.
- Actively participates in training, and conducting day to day work activity by adhering to all policies and procedures as enumerated in compliance and risk management programs.

- QUALIFICATIONS
- Education, Experience, Certification and Licensure Requirements:
- Associates Degree in the medical field required.Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training, or equivalent training (MA, LPN, etc.) preferred.Experience working in an EMR system and knowledge of medical terminology required.
