SECURITY ANALYST
Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the IT Security Officer the Security analyst has primary responsibility for daily computer security functions within Forrest General Hospital. Specifically, the Security Analyst should possess skills in the areas of network operating systems and computer applications security functions. Not only does this position have the responsibility of analyzing, assigning, monitoring, and removing the appropriate security levels regarding employee and physician access to computer applications at Forrest General, this position also has the responsibility for conducting security audits to ensure those who have access are in fact the same people who are accessing our systems. This position also requires interaction with both internal and external contacts in the analysis, design and implementation stages of a project. This person also works directly with both hospital and vendor personnel. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, visitors, of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs and other FGH personnel by exhibiting the Forrest General Way.

- Demonstrate the technical aptitude for supporting Electronic Medical Record by achieving and maintaining certifications including but not limited to attending assigned classes, achieve passing scores for all test and projects.
- Demonstrate the aptitude for including proper and timely documentation when creating, updating and closing a help desk ticket and/or task.
- Demonstrate technical aptitude for maintaining the security on all files and systems.
- Demonstrate technical aptitude for maintaining the security in Active Directory for all groups and email.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
Associate degree or Bachelor degree in computer science, decision science, accounting, or business with courses in systems analysis and data processing or extensive work experience may substitute education (minimum of 4 years).
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in computer related software / hardware with communications between multiple platforms (with education), 4 years without education.
Additional Certification/Licensure - obtained based on the required timeframe below
