Overview

The individual will have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly, annual close and financial reporting process.

The ideal candidate will be skilled to use time productively, maximize efficiency, be a quick learner, and adapt to changing requirements. The individual will demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as working effectively cross functionally. In addition, you should be able to thoughtfully identify business needs, collaborate with others and build processes that help lead our ability to scale.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support monthly accounting close process in accordance with US GAAP, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliations in accordance with close calendar timelines.

• Assist in quarterly and annual auditors' and SOX reviews and provide reconciliation support to help facilitate an optimal audit process.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams and assist with monthly analysis including researching and documenting variances to ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting activities.

• Provide support for the annual financial audit including preparation of audit schedules and responding to questions and requests from external auditors.

• Support preparation of SEC filings.

• Document new policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department and the company.

• Work on process optimization and automation efforts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our monthly close process and reporting requirements that enable sustainable scaling of the business.

• Ability to think through complex problems, determine proper processes, and derive accounting conclusions and present results to the team.

• Partner with various departments to gather data and rectify discrepancies or issues

• Support the adoption of new policies and procedures.

• Work with management to develop internal controls throughout the Accounting department

• Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision and displays a self-starter and can do attitude while also being a team player.

• Assist management with ad hoc information gathering, analysis, reporting as needed.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Enjoys collaborating and brainstorming with others in a professional manner.

• Takes responsibility and ownership of assignments with attention to detail.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred

Experience:

• 4+ years of general ledger close cycle and/or financial statement audit experience

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Healthcare industry experience is a plus

Skills:

• Advanced with Excel. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data

• Knowledge of various financial systems. Experience with TriNet and Equity Edge Online a plus

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Adhere to COVID protocols and policy

• Sitting and working on a computer for a majority of the day

• Communicating both verbally and in writing

• During the current COVID-19 pandemic, the ability to work remotely until it is safe to return to the worksite and work on-site once deemed safe to return.
