Skilled Mechanic
To assure a safe, attractive, functional Hospital environment through the performance of all types of routine, emergency or preventative maintenance
Is responsible for making rounds of the entire facility correcting any and all problems by adjusting, lubricating, calibrating, repairing, touching up, etc. Answer all repair calls and assist other mechanics as required. Respond to all emergencies (smoke, water, electrical, etc.) and or any other duties as directed to maintain compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to communicate between staff and other departments.
- Has knowledge of what anchors to use on each job.
- Has a god working knowledge of how to reach blueprints.
- Has good basic plumbing skills.
- Has good basic electrical skills.
- Knows how to operate all equipment essential to the job that is being performed.
- Responds appropriately to all emergencies.
- Ability to repair beds and stretchers.
- Able to handle multiple calls for repairs.
- Restocks parts to have most commonly used on hand.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
- 3 yrs. experience in general maintenance, commercial, industrial or healthcare
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- N/A
OTHER
- General knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and painting. Good verbal and writing skills.
