POSITION:
Speech and Language Pathologist

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Certification for Speech & Language Pathologist (ASHA)
- Board of Education reserves the right to modify qualifications
- Experience working with students with ASD preferred
- Must meet requirements of State and Federal laws and regulations
- Experience with Core Vocabulary, AAC devices, assistive technology, and visual supports preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
DUTIES:
- Provide speech therapy to students with IEPs in ASD center program
- Administer and interpret diagnostic test batteries, conduct special education evaluations for speech and language
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team
- Utilize MTSS/RTI
- Participate in student success team meetings
- Implement trauma-informed/resiliency based strategies & interventions
- Implement building wide PBIS
- Work collaboratively with SSW, OT, and classroom teacher to provide co-therapy and support communication throughout the classroom/program
- Maintain compliance with special education timelines, required paperwork and documentation
- Maintain a philosophy in accordance with the Special Education Department and the Lincoln Park Public Schools
- Carefully document all services in a clear effective manner
- Stay in compliance with special education timelines and paperwork
Other duties as assigned

Executive Director of Special Education, Special Education Supervisor, and Building Principal
