DEPARTMENT:

ASSIGNMENT:
Serves students at Gladwin Intermediate and Junior High Schools
REPORTS TO:
Director of Special Education and/or Special Educator Supervisor
WORK DAYS:
School-year position following the district calendar; Five (5) days per week; 7.25~7.50 hours per day
SALARY:
Competitive salary based on the Master Agreement for AFT. Starting salary is based on education and experience
STARTING DATE:
2026-2027 School Year (August 2026)
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students with disabilities in the school setting. This position is dedicated to evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders that impact educational performance. The Speech-Language Pathologist collaborates with special education teams, general education staff, families, and community partners to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that promote student communication development, academic success, and social-emotional well-being.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program is required.
- Certificates and/or licenses approved by the State of Michigan, LARA
- Valid Michigan Driver's License
