What You'll Do
A typical day at My Spot is dynamic and fulfilling, requiring empathy, analytical skills, and a commitment to improving children's lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments to determine each child's physical strengths and challenges.
- Developing personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, focusing on improving mobility, strength, coordination, and overall functional abilities.
- Implementing evidence-based physical therapy interventions through fun and engaging activities to motivate children and promote progress.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and parents to ensure holistic care and optimal outcomes.
- Providing guidance and education to families on therapeutic exercises and activities to support their child's progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and communication with other healthcare professionals.
What You'll Need
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in state of Texas
