Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsible for providing skilled therapy interventions in the treatment of the patients/clients illness, rehabilitative needs and preventative care. He/she utilizes a holistic approach in the provision of ongoing assessments, problem identification and specific therapeutic interventions, teaching and training activities. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible to proactively apply professional knowledge and skills to meet the needs of the patient/client and facilitate the achievement of individualized, defined and measurable outcomes.

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. Graduate of a master's level program in speech-language pathology is required.

Other Special Training/Skills:
1. Good organization and communication skills and ability to function with minimal supervision.

Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.:
1. Current Louisiana licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
2. Current Certificate in Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or be CCC eligible.
