Position Title:

Speech Language Pathologist

Anticipated Work Location/Hours:

Sidway Elementary 8:35 AM to 3:35 PM

Salary:

BA Step 1 $48,007 or MA Step 1 $50,670 per GITA contract

Duties:

1. Perform therapeutic work in diagnosis and remediation for children with speech disorders

2. Report to the Committee on Special Education regarding special education pupil's progress

3. Consult with staff on speech and hearing issues

4. Participate in case conferences

5. Make referrals to appropriate agencies when necessary

6. Complete Medicaid paperwork for reimbursement

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Possess NYS License and Certification for Speech & Language Disabilities

2. Flexible, able to collaborate with colleagues in Speech department, as well as other faculty and staff

3. Communicate effectively and confidentially regarding students' cases

4. Ability to integrate teachers and parents into the total program
