Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Sarasota, FL. The successful candidate will provide speech therapy services to our residents, assessing and treating communication and swallowing disorders. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote optimal resident outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' communication and swallowing skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, and cognitive skills
- Provide speech therapy services to residents, including individual and group sessions
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans that promote optimal resident outcomes
- Document resident progress and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and treatment plans
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as an SLP
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
