Speech/Language Pathologist

JOB SUMMARY: To evaluate and diagnose students at risk for communication, fine/gross motor, sensory, hearing & visual disorders, and to provide direct service to students as required by IEPs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Implements all aspects of child Find: referring, screening, evaluating, diagnosing and recommending intervention strategies for referred students
  2. Completes all assessments, including written report within timelines mandated by IDEA
  3. Completes all progress reports within timelines mandated by IDEA
  4. Maintains written records of service delivery for all students
  5. Consults with administration, staff and families regarding interventions and strategies for identified students
  6. Participates and reports evaluation results to IEP eligibility meetings
  7. Observes students in their learning environments, as requested
  8. Participates in Professional Development opportunities and stays current with evaluation instruments
  9. Consult with other professionals, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Massachusetts certification for Speech & Language therapist or Professional state licensure, as appropriate
  2. Master's degree required
  3. Three years' experience working within a school/clinical setting
  4. Knowledge of IDEA regulations
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION: $54,373.00 - $93,870.00, commensurate with education and experience
